CarFit – Helping Mature Drivers Find Their Safest Fit

On November 12th, 2011 from 1 pm until 4 pm Terry Ober, former Traffic Safety Coordinator along with Chesapeake Auto Repair will host an Open House to demonstrate many aspects of safe driving for drivers of all ages.  This FREE event is open to the public.  A CarFit will be conducted by Terry Ober and Jessica Milligan providing all drivers “Hands On” awareness/education of safety features in their automobile and have better understanding for safely operating their vehicles.  Demonstrations will be provided for Ignition Interlock (LifeSafer, Inc., Child Safety Seats, Vickie Quimby, Department of Health along with educational information and lectures related to young and mature drivers provided by Terry Ober.  Learn more about your car, your ability to drive safely and more!  A car clinic will include demonstrations by Jack Cooper, Chesapeake Auto Repair, showing our guests how to change tires, perform tire inspections and general tire safety explanations a.  Tim Lawson, Service Manager will perform the 29 point preventative vehicle maintenance inspection on a demonstration vehicle allowing our guests to understand the process.  Department of Natural Resources will provide Jet Ski for winterizing demonstration.
