Caroline Country Club Supports Animal Resource Foundation

There’s an old adage, “to be good, you have to do good”. That was certainly on display at the Caroline Country Club (CCC) on Sunday, November 20, 2011. Sponsored by CCC owners Jeff and Bernice Parenteau, and Joe and Judy Jarnutowski, and organized by golf professional Bob Rementer, the game of golf was used to benefit the Animal Resource Foundation (ARF). Seventy invited golfers were treated to a round of golf, a buffet luncheon, and live music by Bird Dog and the Road Kings. The “entry fee” paid by the golfers for participation in the tournament was one bag of dog food each. As a result of their participation, 1,770 pounds of dog food was donated to benefit the homeless animals housed at the ARF facility on Kent Island. Golfers contributing to the charity could see the immediate results of their efforts, as several dogs housed at the facility were on hand for the tournament.

The Animal Resource Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the care and comfort of homeless animals, and opposed to euthanasia. ARF has taken in, nurtured, medically treated, and found “forever” homes for thousands of pets. The Animal Resource Foundation is located at 51 Piney Narrows Road off Route 50 in the old Kent Narrows Outlets. For anyone interested in “doing good” by donating to ARF, or providing a home for a needy animal, you can do the following:
