You many know that Christ Episcopal Church Day School was Kent Island’s original preschool, but did you know that is was founded 40 years ago? Forty years of success is definitely a cause for a celebration… So a celebration it shall be! Please join us on April 13as we celebrate 40 years at our annual Spring Gala!
The Gala will feature a silent and live auction and will be held at the Christ Episcopal Church, Shand Hall on Romancoke Road. We will have something for everyone! Two guitars have already been donated, one autographed treasure from our Island’s very own Paul Reed Smith and one all the way from Nashville. Once owned by music legend, Merle Haggard, this guitar is a 12-string acoustic guitar! And as if that wasn’t enough, the guitar is being passed around the music-town getting autographs from many well-known singers and songwriters. A famous songwriter and graduate of Queen Anne High School, Lynette Diane Lorenz, is circulating the guitar to all her friends in the music business and gathering signatures to support the Day School.
Other amazing auction items include: tickets to Walt Disney World, a fishing trip, an excursion to Belize, restaurant certificates, adorable class projects, and many other adventures, trips and get-aways…just to name a few. There will be something to tempt everyone!
Tickets to the event are on sale now and can be purchased by mailing a check to the school or by calling the school at 410-643-8248. In addition to a night of auction fun, the event ticket includes heavy hors d’oeuvres provided by Kentmorr Restaurant and complimentary cocktails sponsored in part by Love Point Deli, Thompson Creek Liquors, G&G and Kelly distributors.
