Sudlersville Middle School proudly hosted its 12th Annual Hispanic American Heritage Night, an evening filled with vibrant culture, delicious food, lively music, dance, art, and heartfelt performances. The event brought together students, families, staff, and community members to honor and celebrate the rich traditions and contributions of Hispanic Americans.

Community partners and local businesses joined the celebration, offering valuable resources and support to families. One of the highlights of the evening was the authentic, homemade dishes prepared by families, allowing everyone to experience and enjoy the diverse flavors of Hispanic cuisine.

Dr. Billie Brice, Principal of Sudlersville Middle School, shared, “It was beautiful to see our school and community come together as one to celebrate Hispanic American heritage. The energy and connection felt throughout the evening reflected the strength of our diverse school family.”

Dr. Darren Guido, Supervisor of Instruction for Social Studies, World Languages, Multilingual Learners, and Service-Learning, added, “Celebrating Hispanic American Heritage is important because it honors the rich history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic Americans who have helped shape our community and our nation. It also gives everyone a chance to learn from diverse traditions and appreciate the strength that comes from our shared stories and experiences.  We are a much stronger community when we celebrate our unity.”

The annual celebration continues to serve as a cornerstone event for Sudlersville Middle School, reinforcing its commitment to inclusion, cultural awareness, and community engagement.
