Music and wine enthusiasts alike will enjoy the best of both worlds at The Winery in Chester on Friday, January 22 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. “Unplugged and Uncorked” is the theme behind this ultimate wine tasting experience when professional musician Paul Cullen, bassist for classic rock group Bad Company, provides a live acoustic performance while expounding on the virtues of PortoVino Italian wines.
The Winery’s Grotto is the perfect atmosphere for Cullen to combine his passion for music with his passion for wine. Cullen, who performed worldwide with Bad Company during the 90s, has switched from rock to jazz and just released his second solo CD “Paradise”. Teaming with PortVino Italian wine importers as a representative, Cullen brings a variety of “Groovy Italian Wines” for patrons to sample while he plays cool, jazzy music. Best of all, there is no charge for this exclusive performance.
“We’re very excited at The Winery to bring new and contemporary events to Kent Island in addition to our regular free wine tastings,” says Winery Manager Ian Trinkle. “We plan to continue scheduling fun and hip engagements for our customers to enjoy.”
The Winery not only offers the most extensive wine selection on the Eastern Shore, its helpful, experienced staff provides excellent customer service and advice for selecting wines for any budget.
PortoVino imports offbeat and distinctive wines from Italy’s various regions. For information about The Winery’s scheduled wine tastings, visit www.thewineryki.com or call 410-643-2445 .
