Are you ready for cooler temperatures, the smell of fresh apple cider and a fun activity for the whole family to enjoy? Then join the Centerville Rotary Club at its 40th Annual Artisans Festival on Saturday, October 1 from 10-4 and Sunday, October 2 from 11-4. Once again, the festival will be held at the QAC 4H Park in Centreville.
To date, over 75 artists from the Delmarva Peninsula will exhibit their wide range of talents and treasures ranging from paintings, pottery and basketry to stained glass, wood carving, jewelry and much more.
To mark the 40th anniversary of this community event, special attractions have been added. On Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Flashback, local class rock band will perform. Sunday afternoon will feature, Hearts of Worship, adult and youth bands from Centreville United Methodist Church. Mr. George, “The Scroll Man,” will be on hand for you to sign your name to a banner that will be sent to men and women serving overseas.
Live demonstrations include cider making, alpacas, wood carving and chair caning. Children’s activities on both days are from 11:00 am to 3:30 with pumpkin decorating, scarecrow making, face painting, needle in the haystack game, and haywagon rides.
