The Character Counts! Advisory Council is excited to announce that entries are now being accepted for the Queen Anne’s County Character Counts! Mascot Poster Contest.

Any student, pre-k through 12th grade, is invited to design a mascot to represent the Queen Anne’s County Character Counts! program. The design will be made into a costume and worn in parades, at local events, and in the schools. Students are encouraged to use their imagination and creativity when working on their design.

All entries should be drawn on 8.5 x 11 inch paper and include the words, “QAC Character Counts!” in the design. Please mail entries to P.O. Box 418 Centreville, MD 21617.  Deadline is October 11, 2010.

The winning design will be unveiled at the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Queen Anne’s County Character Counts! Program at the Commissioners’ meeting on November 23, 2010.
