Chesapeake Mom’s Club Raises Money for ARF

The Chesapeake Mom’s Club (CMC) recently held a silent auction fundraiser for The Animal Resource Foundation (ARF).  It took place Saturday, June 12 at CMC’s End-of-Year Celebration at Fisherman’s Inn, Kent Narrows. Over 25 members were in attendance along with their spouses. Many local businesses contributed to the over 25 auction items.

The Chesapeake Moms Club is made up of over 100 moms stretching across Queen Anne’s County.  Their mission is to provide a mechanism through which mothers with children all ages in Queen Anne’s County and surrounding area may meet one another through a variety of activities, and to enrich the lives of our children and ourselves.  For more information please visit www.cheapeakemomsclub.org.

ARF believes that no animal deserves to be abandoned, neglected, abused or arbitrarily killed.   Through the creation of public awareness opportunities, outreach programs, providing a nurturing environment for rehabilitation and a spay/neuter program ARF is able to make adoption the practical alternative.  For more information please visit www.arfusa.org.

Overall, $2280 was raised and presented to ARF along with items from ARF’s wish list which were collected from the members that attended the event.
