The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum has announced its Summer Concert Series – a diversity of sounds and performers on Saturdays throughout the summer months. From steamy blues to folk, from swing to acoustic rock, the concerts will entertain both young and old alike.
In June, the music of dynamic folk duo “Calico Jack” (Janie Meneely and Paul DiBlasi) will celebrate the people, places and history of the Chesapeake on June 12 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. On June 26 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Lee Murdock will entertain with “Songs and Stories of the Great Lakes.”
In July, liveaboard musicians Mike and Kelly Lange will provide lively swing and boogie-woogie music focusing on the world or recreational boating on July 10 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. “B Natural” will perform a unique and eclectic acoustic sound on July 17 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. On July 24 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Dave Hawkins and Stix will perform acoustic rock.
In August, “Captain Quint” will play tropical rock on August 7 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Instrumentalist cousins, Mac Walter and John Cronin, will offer vocal originals inspired by the environment and the world around them on August 14 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. “Blues Deville,” plays blues/rock on August 21 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. “Bill Dickson & MTT” (Musical Think Tank) perform acoustic rock on August 28 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In September, Greg Farley will play tropical acoustic guitar on September 18 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
