Chester Lawyer Hosts Free “Women and the Law” Symposium on May 26

The law and the legal system have a profound affect on you regardless of your age, gender or occupation. A Chester lawyer is hosting a free law symposium, titled “Women and the Law” on Wednesday, May 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. for women to learn more about the important role law plays in their lives.

The event will be held at 2927 Cox Neck Road East, Chester. Space is limited. Advance registration is required by May 17. (No walk-ins)

Hosted by Cecile C. Weich, Esquire, the symposium will begin with a wine and cheese reception     from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by the program from 7 to 8 p.m. A question and answer session is included.

“Whether you are a stay at home Mom, a business executive, married, divorced or somewhere in between, the law impacts your life,” says Ms. Weich. “Through this symposium participants will learn, and have the opportunity to interact in the discussion. When you gain a greater understanding of the law you make well informed life decisions,” she adds.

Ms. Weich was born in Atlantic City, N.J., and moved to the Bronx at the age of five. She always wanted to be a lawyer and especially “a people’s lawyer.” Through five decades of practice Ms. Weich has become a leading authority in women’s legal issues and a proponent of pre- and post-nuptial agreements. Her commitment to women in business and politics and her dedication to strong families have made her a provocative talk show guest and the type of lawyer that you want on your side of the courtroom.

Her many accomplishments include being appointed to the New York State Committee of the Federal Civil Rights Commission by three presidents. She has recently been unanimously appointed by the Queen Anne’s County Commissioners to the Mid-Shore Mental Health Board.

For more information or to register for the symposium, please call Cecile C. Weich at (410) 604-1111. You must register to attend. RSVP by May 17. No walk-ins.
