Children’s Book Week at Kent County Public Library

Kent County Public Library is planning some special family events May 7 to May 12th for CHILDREN’S BOOK WEEK. Since 1910 Children’s Book Week has been celebrated, in order to make the enjoyment of children’s books an essential part of America and enhance the public perception of the importance of reading.

Families are invited to three special story times featuring Curious George, the special monkey. He will visit Chestertown Branch, Tuesday, May 8th at 10:00 A.M., the Rock Hall Branch on Wednesday, May 9th at 10:30 A.M. and the North County Branch on Thursday, May 10th at 10:30 A.M. You may also see George in the Dogwood Days Parade on Saturday May 12th! He will be available for photos after the parade at the North County Branch.

Children who sign up for a library card will receive a free gift bag!
