Chloe’s Corner

My biggest problem with winter is I never have a clue about what to wear.

I mean, sure…I could go for weeks in a cardigan, jeans, and moccasins. But. It is getting colder and I cannot continue to stand at my bus stop while it is 30 degrees and wonder if it is possible to get permanent goose bumps from the cold.

So, without further ado, here are some tips for how to transition from (glorious) fall weather to (dreadful) winter weather. In a fashionable way, of course.

1. Thick cowl neck sweaters.
Even though a sweater is still in the cardigan family, they are ten times warmer, and this particular one has a cowl neck to protect your neck from the fierce cold.

2. Go oversized.
This tip is my personal favorite. There is pretty much nothing that you cannot wear in an oversized style. I would try graphic sweatshirts, denim jackets, and any big crop top with high-waisted jeans screams completely 80’s and adorable.

3. Colorful tights.
This trend has been in for quite a while, but is still cute and timeless. A pair of bright tights will liven up any skirt; you get extra points (and warmth…) for thick, patterned, funky tights.

4. Thick socks and boots.
This is the easiest tip. Take some long, solid colored-socks and pull them up higher than the boots you’re rocking. Your ankles and feet will be super warm, and you will look super cute.

I hope these tips help you survive the cold (I mean, it’s 56 degrees right now, but the cold is coming. I feel it.) while still looking fierce and awesome. Thanks for reading!
