Julia Childs, move over! Christ Church Parish Kent Island will be hosting a Pampered Chef cooking show on Sunday, April 3rd beginning at 12 noon. Pampered Chef consultant Lynn Grody will be on hand in Shand Hall to demonstrate how to make some easy, healthy and delicious recipes for spring and summer cooking and entertaining. The demonstration will, of course, feature a wide range of Pampered Chef products and kitchen tools, all of which will be available for purchase. A portion of the sales will be donated back to Christ Church Parish to assist the church with its ministries. Christ Church Parish is located at 830 Romancoke Road, Stevensville – right next to the American Legion. Complimentary light fare will be available.
The public is invited to attend, so gather all your friends, neighbors and relatives and be on hand to live, learn and experience culinary perfection. Pre-registration for this free event is required, so please e-mail your RSVP to Molly Cannon at christchurchkentisland@verizon.net or call Molly at 410-991-6752. The Pampered Chef is a global company that offers a line of kitchen tools, food products, and cookbooks aimed for preparing food in the home. Founded in 1980 by Doris Christopher, the company began to sell these items to housewives on the party plan, a system in which a homemaker invites her friends over for a social event at which the products are demonstrated and sold, a concept first use with great success with Tupperware. Currently, The Pampered Chef has a worldwide direct sales force of over 60,000 in addition to a corporate staff of 750.
Christ Church Parish Kent Island was founded in 1631, began active ministry in 1632, and celebrated its 375th anniversary in October of 2007. The Parish remains today as the oldest continuing congregation in the State of Maryland, if not the United States.
