CL&L Lends a Hand in Response to Budgetary Woes

Chesapeake Lawn and Landscape, LLC sponsored the Matapeake Beach cleanup on Saturday July 23. Chesapeake Lawn and Landscape owner, Robert Woolley, said, “It was great to have so many friends and fellow community members turn out for such a great cause, cleaning up one of our local beaches.” The group turned out on one of the hottest days of the year to clear the beach of garbage and debris. Volunteer Diana Spake, who attended the clean up with her two sons Brett, 14, and Ryan, 15, said “It’s great to see a local business owner put so much time and effort into organizing such an event.” Along with the Chesapeake L & L staff and community volunteers, organizer Robert Woolley, solicited the help of the Kent Island High School Lacrosse Team, whom he coaches. Mark Fromert, a team father, said “It’s was great to see those young men volunteering.” Thanks to all who participated.
