Learn all about what’s happening in research into finding a cure for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disorder and to celebrate the second annual CMT Awareness Month.
The Talbot County Council will declare on August 28 that September will be CMT Awareness Month in Talbot County. This is part of a nationwide effort to educate the public about CMT, the most common form of inherited peripheral neuropathy. In 2011, people from more than 80 countries participated in the campaign by the national CMTA. CMT affects some 2.6 million people worldwide and 1.5 million people in the USA, including some 250 within 50 miles of Easton.
Come to the meeting to share and to learn. CMT bracelets and posters will be available to everyone to spread the word that we won’t rest until there is a world without CMT. We look forward to seeing you at the Talbot County Senior Center, 400 Brookletts Avenue, Easton, from 10 AM until Noon on September 8.
