November is recognized as National Hospice and Palliative Care month, making us acutely aware of our role and mission.  Compass Regional Hospice (formerly known as Hospice of Queen Anne’s) is proudly celebrating 30 years of service to patients, families and individuals in our community.  We have grown from a tiny house located in Queenstown to a state of the art medical and administrative facility in Centreville. Our mission of “Care on your terms” has expanded beyond Queen Anne’s County to include the residents of Caroline and Kent Counties.

As the season of giving thanks approaches, please allow us to thank you.

To our patients, families and those in our grief support programs: Being entrusted to provide care to you or your loved ones at the most difficult times in your life is, for us, an honor and a privilege.  Your faces, needs and stories drive each and every member of our staff and the Board of Directors to strive for excellence in fulfilling our mission in the communities we serve.

To our donors: Being entrusted with your donations to provide care in the community is a fiduciary responsibility that we take very seriously.  Your financial support is what enables us to ensure that every patient or individual in our service area who requires our care can receive it, regardless of ability to pay.

To our business community: Your support and belief in Compass Regional Hospice is what has enabled us to chart our course and grow into the highly respected, specialized healthcare organization and medical facilities that we are today.  Your expert guidance, services and support, donations, volunteers, and in-kind donations are what allow us to continue to grow and adapt to the needs of our community.

To our legislators: Thank you for making room for us in your budgets, for guiding us through complex legislative matters related to our mission, and for always being on our side.

To our volunteers:  Compass Regional Hospice, simply put, cannot do what we do without you and your selfless acts of volunteerism.   Approximately 300 volunteers, giving close to 30,000 volunteer hours each year, is an amazing statistic and a crucial component of our success.

Our gratitude to all of you knows no bounds, and is carried in our hearts and minds each and every day.
