Community Women in the Word Together will begin its fall bible study, “The Challenge of Womanhood I: Studies on Women of the Bible,” on Thursday, September 8 2011, 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the First Wesleyan Church at 620 Goldsborough Street in Easton, MD. The study, by Creative Living Bible Study Ministry www.clbs.org, will include 14 Old Testament women and 10 New Testament women, including Eve, Hannah, Ester, Martha and Mary of Bethany, and the Samaritan woman. Topics will include “Making Time our Friend,” “Walking Through a Crisis,” and “Simplicity.” The 24-week study will be held from September through March, with breaks for the holidays.
The bible study is open to women of all ages, from all churches, and at all spiritual stages of their lives. It provides a time for fellowship, as well as learning, with refreshments beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by study in small groups from 10 to 11 a.m. There will be a lecture following the small groups from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
