Compass Regional Hospice names October volunteer of the month

Compass Regional Hospice (formerly Hospice of Queen Anne’s) chose Sharon North as the October Volunteer of the Month. North is a dedicated volunteer at Estate Treasures, an upscale resale shop in Chester benefiting Compass Regional Hospice.

Sharon has volunteered with Estate Treasures since 1997. Most recently Sharon served as the chairperson for the store’s annual fashion show in which models showcase a selection of store merchandise that preview fall fashion trends. In her role as chairperson Sharon helped coordinate models, organized 50-50 raffles, and helped arrange the fashion show’s on-site boutique. Courtney Williams, manager of volunteer and professional services for Compass Regional Hospice, says, “Sharon is a hands-on and energetic volunteer who has been giving her time and talents for nearly twenty years. She works tirelessly to support Compass Regional Hospice.”

Estate Treasures relies on more than 150 volunteers to assist with the day-to-day operations of the store. Since opening 23 years ago, the store has contributed $1.8 million that has been used to provide hospice care and grief services to people of all ages through Compass Regional Hospice.
