Concours d’Elegance Fashion Show by Mimi’s Closet Benefits CBMM

The Fourth Annual St. Michaels Concours d’Elegance, to be held at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s (CBMM) waterfront campus on Sunday, September 26, will include a fashion show by Mimi’s Closet of Easton and Chestertown.

Following a Concours d’Elegance tradition, Mimi’s Closet will choreograph fashions with classic automobiles just as it was done in the 1920s in the Parc de Paris. Grand classic motor cars (1900-1942) and vintage mahogany speed boats from the same era will be fused with high fashion for a day of casual elegance at the Museum.

“Historically, the finest couturiers of the day would join with the best automotive designers to showcase the best in style and design,” said Marjorie Adams, owner of Mimi’s Closet. “We’re looking forward to recreating this atmosphere and ambience for Concours attendees with some of the best in contemporary fashions.”

A preview of Sunday’s fashion show will also take place at CBMM on Saturday evening, September 25 during a fundraising dinner. The event includes a cocktail party, a three-course seated gourmet dinner by Peachblossoms, jazz music, and live and silent auctions featuring unique luxury items and experiences. All proceeds benefit CBMM.

General admission tickets for the September 26 event and fashion show at CBMM are $35. Tickets for the fundraising dinner on September 25 are $150. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit www.smcde.org or call 410-745-4978.
