Continuum Dance will present its fall performance Dreamers at Oxford Community Center on Saturday, September 27, with shows at 2pm and 6pm. The group’s first full-length performance since 2019, Dreamers is a genuine representation of Continuum Dance’s vision to make dance accessible, participatory, and welcoming to all.

In a region where live artistic dance performances seldom occur, this show continues Continuum Dance’s core mission of providing residents of Delmarva the opportunity to experience artistic dance. The show is an invitation for audience members and dancers to open their hearts and minds to the art of dance with the hope of inspiring self-expression through the performing arts.

Dreamers is a production inspired by the notion that we can all chase our dreams – no matter how big or small – and will feature dancers of all ages and abilities. In addition to company dancers sharing pieces they’ve been working on all year, community members – some stepping on the stage for the very first time – are invited to join the group to share a fun, engaging piece with the audience.

Regardless of dance experience, any community member interested in being a part of the performance can join Continuum Dance for three rehearsals on Saturdays, September 6, 13, and 20 from 10:30am to 12noon at Pulse & Beats in Easton, Md. Participants will be asked to pay a $30 rehearsal fee and purchase a Continuum Dance shirt to wear during the performance. Advance registration is requested at www.continuumdancecompany.org. 

Dreamers tickets can be purchased in advance at www.continuumdancecompany.org for $20 or at the door for $25. Student pricing is available at $10 (ages 6-17), and children ages 5 & under are welcome at no cost.

Dreamers is funded in part by Talbot Arts, with revenues provided by the Maryland State Arts Council and the governments of Talbot County, Easton, Oxford, and St. Michaels.
