Crowd Gathers For Convention Watch Party

On Thursday, Sept 6th, 35 residents of Queen Anne’s County met at a private home in Grasonville to socialize together, share ideas, and watch President Obama present his nomination acceptance speech on the final night of the Democratic Convention. The diversity of the crowd was amazing and excitement of the guests was high as the Convention reached it high point. The noise level became even higher when Gene Ransom, former county Commissioner, called from Charlotte to report that despite heavy rain and thunder on that final night, the mood at the Convention was electrifying. Democratic excitement and enthusiasm continues to build in Queen Anne’s County as the election approaches, spurred on by a series of outstanding Democratic Convention speakers, culminating in the Obama acceptance speech that night.
