Cusimano & Hoxter Take 1st Place in Stock Market Game

Each year The Gunston School’s economics class participates in the Stock Market Game, a nation-wide contest of high school students engaging in real-world investing in the stock market. Starting with a virtual cash account of $100,000, each student team tries to build the best performing portfolio using a real time trading simulation. This year we congratulate Joe Cusimano and Nick Hoxter, both of Centreville and the best of Gunston’s seven participating teams, for finishing first among 154 competing teams in the Eastern Shore region. The Stock Market Game is supported by more than 600 securities firms and is the only stock market simulation supported by the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Stock Market.
