David Lee Elected Memorial Hospital Association President

Shore Health announces the election of David C. Lee of Easton as President of the Memorial Hospital Association. Lee, who is Senior Vice President of the Avon-Dixon Agency, LCC, has been a member of the Memorial Hospital Association since 2007 and succeeds Leanne Allen, who had served as President of the Association since 2009.

Lee’s civic activities include having served as president of the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce, Shore Leadership and the Chesapeake Association of Life Underwriters. He has also served on the boards of the Country School and the Chesapeake Center and is currently a member of Easton Rotary and serves on the board of the Talbot County Historical Society. He earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Ithaca College.

Reflecting on his involvement with the Memorial Hospital Association, Lee comments, “The Memorial Hospital Association’s mission has evolved over the years as the needs of our hospital have changed. Members of the Association learn firsthand through quarterly meetings about hospital happenings and are then in a good position to act as a knowledgeable resource in their community.”

The Memorial Hospital Association is comprised of residents of Talbot, Caroline and Queen Anne’s counties. The members represent the hospital in their communities by explaining available services and linking individuals and organizations to the hospital and the other services available through Shore Health. Association members also communicate with hospital management about healthcare issues in the community.
