David Mercier To Address Two Topics at Evergreen

Evergreen, A Center for Balanced Living, located in Easton is delighted to announce a book signing and lectures by renowned author and speaker, David Mercier, M.S., L.Ac. on Saturday, April 6, from 1 – 4 p.m. in the Great Room of the Evergreen Sadler Building.

Mr. Mercier has chosen the topic: “Living Inspired: The Power of Meaning and Purpose.” He is the author of the popular book “A Beautiful Medicine” and there will be an opportunity for book signing and sale.

Stated Mr. Mercier: “This workshop on Saturday, April 6, from 1 – 4 pm is designed to help you live inspired and deepen your sense of meaningful purpose. Meaning and purpose create energy in the body and enhance physical health and are the roots of deep inspiration. With group discussion and experiential exercises, you will identify and strengthen the sources of inspiration in your life.” As a bonus, all participants will receive a 55 page digital PDF version of the Beautiful Medicine Discovery Guide and a 30 minute follow-up telephone call after the workshop. The fee for this seminar is $50 for Evergreen members and $60 for non-members.

An additional lecture the Friday night before will be conducted by Mr. Mercier on the topic: the “Five Dimensions of Healing” from 7 – 9 p.m. on April 5, also in the Great Room of the Evergreen Sadler Building. This topic, said Mr. Mercier: “Is to help people differentiate between all the different therapies that are out there, both alternative and conventional.”

While the Friday evening lecture is free to Evergreen members and those attending Mr. Mercier’s April 6 lecture, it is his request that this evening be designated as a fundraiser for Evergreen, A Center for Balanced Living which is a non-profit 501©3 entity and celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. David Mercier is the author of A Beautiful Medicine – A Radical Look at the Essence of Health and Healing, which will be required reading starting this fall at the University of Santa Monica’s master’s degree program in Consciousness, Health, and Healing. His education includes two years as a Buddhist monk in Sri Lanka between 1975 and 1977, a master’s in organization development from Case Western Reserve University, and a master’s degree in acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute. He also holds a certificate in transpersonal psychology earned under renowned psychiatrist Stanislav Grof, M.D. In 2000, he established Shore Health System’s Center for Integrative Medicine which he directed for nine years. With three decades of clinical experience in integrative medicine, Mr. Mercier now works as a life coach, seminar leader, and acupuncturist.
