Denim & Diamonds Is Theme for CBEC’s Wet & Wild Auction

CBEC_Committee (400 x 268)Every year over 15,000 students visit Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center (CBEC) to learn about the Bay and environmental stewardship. To continue this educational mission, CBEC needs the support of the community for its 9th Annual Wet & Wild Live and Silent Auction fundraiser on Saturday, September 21 from 6 to 9 pm in CBEC’s Education and Arts Building in Grasonville.

This year’s “Denim & Diamonds” theme encourages attendees to come out and support CBEC dressed in their cowboy hats and sparkles! This casually elegant affair will feature a buffet dinner, wine, beer and cocktails. The live and silent auction items, as usual, will be interesting and unique. Tickets are $90/person.

CBEC encourages community members and businesses to support the event by becoming sponsors or by donating auction items. CBEC is one of the last pristine areas on the Chesapeake Bay, and it’s right here in your own backyard!

CBEC is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting stewardship and sustainability through environmental education and habitat restoration. The center offers 4 miles of hiking trails for walkers, joggers, bikers, and nature enthusiasts to enjoy a myriad of habitats ranging from freshwater ponds, wetlands, forests, to meadows. CBEC receives no local, state or federal funding for its operating budget. For more information about CBEC or to become a member, visit bayrestoration.org.
