The disAbility Coalition is accepting nominations for its annual award that recognizes individuals, businesses, or organizations that have advocated for or implemented changes to improve the lives of Talbot County residents living with any disability.
Easton High School Special Education Teacher Makema Grimes and the YMCA of the Cheseapeake received the Coalitions seventh annual award for their dedication in support of people with disabilities. This year the Coalition will publicly thank all nominees with special recognition devoted to one individual and one business or organization.
Nominations are due by April 1, 2012. Send nominations to Kristin Mentges, coordinator of Special Education, at the Talbot County Education Center on 12 Magnolia Street, Easton, MD 21601 or contact Mentges at firstname.lastname@example.org for forms and information.
Nominations must include contact information for the nominating party, whether the nominee is for an individual or an organization/business, the full name of the nominee, the title of the nominee, and reasons why the nominee is deserving of recognition.
