CENTREVILLE, MD – The Queen Anne’s County Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jennifer Schrecongost as Interim Assistant Superintendent for the 2025–2026 school year. The appointment was approved during the Board’s regular meeting on July 2, 2025.

Dr. Schrecongost currently serves as Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction and brings over 20 years of dedicated service to Queen Anne’s County Public Schools (QACPS). Her career has included roles as a middle school English Language Arts teacher, school counselor, assistant principal, and principal at both Matapeake Elementary and Stevensville Middle Schools.

A lifelong learner and instructional leader, Dr. Schrecongost holds a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University. She also earned administrative certification from Salisbury University, a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from Loyola University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from Towson University. In each of her roles, she has been committed to elevating teaching and learning through high-quality professional development and continuous school improvement.

Reflecting on her appointment, Dr. Schrecongost shared:

Dr. Schrecongost resides in Queenstown with her husband, John, a recent QACPS retiree. Their two adult sons are proud graduates of the school system—a testament, she notes, to the strength and impact of the district’s educators.
