John P. Knud-Hansen, MD, FACS, has joined Shore Comprehensive Urology. He will practice with John Foley, MD, and Christopher Runz, DO, in their offices in Easton, Cambridge and Chestertown.
Dr. Knud-Hansen has been practicing urology in Easton for 20 years. He is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Central Del Caribe School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery and a residency in urology at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He also completed a two-year fellowship in general surgery and surgical research at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
As one of the most experienced urologists on the Eastern Shore, Dr. Knud-Hansen has a wide range of expertise including the treatment of cancer, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction and incontinence. He also performs basic pediatric urologic surgery and consults with pediatricians whose young patients are experiencing urological medical conditions.
“I genuinely enjoy working with each person who comes to me for care,” says. Dr. Knud-Hansen. “I take time with my patients to be sure that they understand the reasoning behind my recommendations.”
