A jackknifed tractor-trailer incident on 50 at 404 last week closed the westbound side for two hours. No one was hurt. The truck driver apparently was trying to make a u-turn when the rig jackknifed.

Investigators were busy with a boat fire last week at Mears Point Marina in Kent Narrows. A 36-foot Carver motor yacht was destroyed. There is no word on the cause of the fire, but traffic was backed up on 50 on both sides for a while because of the smoke.
