One Lucky Pet Food Donor Will Win an Apple iPad mini

April 27th, 2014 Pet Pantries, Inc., a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charity based in Easton, has been chosen by Easton Eye Care as the beneficiary of this year’s SUNSALE  according to Pet Pantries’ Vice-President, Mary Kramer.

“We are so pleased to have been chosen as the charity that will benefit from the proceeds of this year’s SUNSALE ,” Ms. Kramer said. “We are working with Easton Eye Care to make sure that this year’s event is a huge success that will contribute significantly to the year-round work that Pet Pantries does in feeding the pets of Talbot, Caroline, and Dorchester Counties”.

This year’s SUNSALE has a construction theme to kick-off a renovation planned for later this summer and the event will take place on Thursday, May 15th 8 AM to 8 PM. This annual patient appreciation event offers a 50 percent discount on most complete pairs of prescription glasses and sunglasses and a 20 percent discount on most non-prescription eyewear. The event will feature trunk shows by three leading eyewear designers: Kate Spade, Lafont, and Prodesign Denmark.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Pet Pantries, and Pet Pantries volunteers will be on site to accept all types of food and treats for dogs and cats. Donations of money also will be accepted by cash or check. Anyone who makes a donation of pet food or money will be entered into a raffle, the first prize of which is an Apple iPad mini (donated by Easton Eye Care). Other raffle prizes include a pair of Sun Cloud polarized sunglasses, and a beautiful hanging basket.

“It’s a special treat for us to support Pet Pantries this year in their important work to feed needy pets,” said Alan S. Bishop, O.D., of Easton Eye Care. “Pet Pantries serves our community by keeping the mid-Shore animal shelters well stocked with pet food, and this helps the shelters in Talbot, Dorchester, and Caroline Counties better respond to the high demand for their services.”
