According to Easton police there are several thousand dollars of counterfeit currency still in circulation. The currency is in the denominations of 5,10, 20, and 50 dollar bills.

1. Hold the bill up to the light and look for the security strip imbedded in the bill

2. Purchase a security pen to check bills to insure they are authentic. The pen’s are available at Staples.

3. Be suspicious of juveniles coming into your business asking you to make change for them.
