Elliott Wilson Insurance, a subsidiary of Avon-Dixon Agency and member of Shore Bancshares family of companies, recently supported Hurricane Sandy relief efforts for victims in New Jersey and Crisfield, Md. Elliott Wilson Insurance (EWI) employees along with friends and the community donated time, money, and supplies over the course of the past two months.
Rifenburg Trucking, Inc. in Greenwood, De, and a customer of Elliott Wilson Insurance, reached out to the trucking community for donations. Erika Wilson, Vice President of EWI, didn’t hesitate to contribute $250 towards fuel expenses for the trucking company’s trip to New Jersey as well as gather multiple donations for supplies needed by the hurricane victims.
Just a week later, Elliott Wilson Insurance responded to a call for help from Crisfield victims of Hurricane Sandy who needed furniture donations. This time Erika turned to Elliott Wilson Trucks (EWT) for assistance and family members George and Fred Wilson who work there. A box truck was offered by EWT to deliver a full load of donated furniture to Crisfield. Relief efforts were made possible by parishioners at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Trappe, Md, local businesses, area trucking companies and Elliott Wilson Insurance employees.
