Join us for CBEC’s next installment in our enlightening lecture series. In April, we are pleased to host Dr. Linda Lear, award-winning biographer of Rachel Carson on the 18th at 7pm. Dr. Lear is an environmental historian and published author who has earned special recognition for her work in environmental history and on Rachel Carson. Carson, author of Silent Spring, is credited with starting the modern environmental movement. Dr. Lear’s publications include Rachel Carson: Witness for Nature and Lost Woods: The Discovered Writing of Rachel Carson, as well as introductions to all of Rachel Carson’s works published in the US. Dr. Lear’s lecture will focus on how “Rachel Got it Right!”
Light refreshments, including wine and cheese will be served.
The “Environmentally Speaking” presentations are held in CBEC’s Education Building in Grasonville, MD. The programs will be at 7:00pm on Thursdays. Cost for each session is $10, $8 for CBEC Members, payable at the door. Reservations highly recommended.
