Create serious bling in time for the holidays using super easy non-toxic epoxy clay and crystals. This medium is perfect for making rings, pendants, earrings and much more more. Two-part epoxy clay comes in bright and pastel colors which can be embedded with crystals, beads, charms or other small objects. It can be shaped or carved while wet, and sanded and painted when dry making it fun to work with and ensuring the pieces you create are as envisioned. Working time is at least one hour after mixing, which leaves plenty of time to work on the project. In twenty-four hours it air dries with no heat needed to cure the clay and no glue is needed to set crystals. Students will learn to work the clay into bezel settings, embed crystals or charms, and take home several projects. Materials: $16 materials fee paid to the instructor on the first day of class for a kit which includes the clay, crystals, and gloves. Bezel findings for three jewelry projects will also be provided as will extra crystals, beads and earring finishing findings provided as needed.
The class will be held on Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council’s Centre for the Arts, 206 S. Commerce St., Centreville Maryland.
