Wye Parish is pleased to announce Erin Grier as the Parish’s organist and pianist.  A dedicated musician, Ms. Grier is a classically-trained pianist and teacher.  She has performed in a wide variety of roles and venues, as a soloist, a chamber musician and an accompanist in this country and in France.

A graduate of Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin with an B.M. in Piano Performance and with an M.M. (in Piano Performance and Pedagogy) from the University of Wisconsin – Madison,  Ms. Grier has given private lessons as well co-founding a program in Madison to give high-quality musical instruction to lower income students.  Her musical interests and talents are diverse.  She has an affinity for Latino music and culture, and enjoys playing salsa, merengue and Latin jazz, having performed with the bands Mambo Blue and Grupo Candela for many years.

In her position at Wye Parish, Erin Grier will accompany the Wye Parish Choir at the Parish’s services at St Luke’s Chapel in Queenstown and Old Wye Church in Wye Mills.  She also performs with the Wye Youth Chorale and, with Wye Conservatory of Music Director, Bonnie Forgacs, will be taking part in the program that the Wye Conservatory of Music will be offering local youth this summer.
