Library’s Summer Reading Program Offers Prizes

This year’s Summer Reading Program at the Talbot County Free Library offers great prizes in return for great reading all summer long.  Children and teens can win instant prizes and qualify for even bigger prizes by keeping track of the books they read this summer.  This year’s prizes include free tickets to Orioles and Shorebirds games, a family 4-pack of free passes to the Maryland Science Center, and coupons redeemable at Dunkin Donuts and Chili’s.  “One World, Many Stories” is the summer reading program theme for children this year, and “You Are Here” is the theme for Grades 6 – 12.

Families planning a trip away from home this summer are invited to take Sneaks, the library’s summer reading mascot, along with them.  Images of Sneaks can be picked up at the library.  Photographs taken of Sneaks and his friends on vacation will be posted all summer long on a special wall in the library.

For more information about Sneaks and the library’s summer reading program, call the library at 410-822-1626, or visit www.tcfl.org.
