Evergreen Cove honored its volunteers at an early evening reception on October 16, 2009. The organization’s volunteers help with everything from office support to maintaining the organization’s four acre property and organizing all of the non-profit’s fundraising events. “A volunteer is a person who makes a difference in our community, often by making the difficult or impossible, possible,” noted Board Chair Jane McCauley as she thanked the assembled group. “We are deeply grateful for every moment of time you so generously give to Evergreen Cove.”
Earlier in the year, volunteer Mary Lynch was given the 2009 Volunteer of the Year award. Lynch serves as Evergreen Cove’s volunteer librarian, managing more than 7,000 books as well as the collection’s on-line catalog.
The mission of Evergreen Cove is to be a catalyst for growth and wellness by offering innovative programs, services and resources.
