Fifth Annual Art in the Park in Historic Stevensville, A Designated Arts and Entertainment District

Mark your calendars, once again, for Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 9am to 4pm when Historic downtown Stevensville will transform into a dazzling artists festival, celebrating the works of local artists and craftsmen from both the eastern and western shores. The “pocket park” is a beautiful grassy knoll off Cockey Lane and Love Point road in the district. This year the celebration will be grandiose! On July 1, Historic Stevensville received a designation as a Arts and Entertainment district from the State of Maryland Arts Council division. The date for this festival was changed from June to September to invite a wider audience of the community to enjoy the artistic works, history, and heritage of Queen Anne’s County.

Booth and vendor applications are currently being accepted, and can be found at the downtown shops and Artist at work Gallery (410-604-1230) or the number above. Applications are also found on the website http//artinthepark.yolasite.com/ and at the Kent Island Federation of Art (KIFA). Local shops, galleries, restaurants and historic sites will be open to the public in addition to live music, food vendors, and more artistic surprises.

All fees and donations will go to support the Historic Stevensville Arts and Entertainment District, a nonprofit (501c3)organization. And, will further the development of various art programs in the community.
