Jody Schulz, Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department member, along with his friend and neighbor Dave Siciliano, have volunteered to represent Queen Anne’s County and participate in the 2015 Fireball Run.
This is an adventure that starts in Hartford CT on September 24th and finishes eight days later in Cocoa Beach FL. The focus of this event is to find America’s missing children. Each team is responsible for bringing attention to a missing child during this event. So far, the Fireball Run is responsible for recovering 44 missing children in the past eight seasons!
The race/scavenger hunt makes its first stop here on Maryland’s Eastern Shore! The teams then travel to Williamsburg VA, Topsail NC, Florence SC, Liberty GA, Sanford FL and finish in Cocoa Beach FL. At each stop they are given clues to find locations and/or objects which gives them points while bringing attention to missing children. Each stop has selected a local children’s charity to benefit when the Fireball Run comes to town. Queen Anne’s County has selected Adopt-a-Bear. Each of 50 participating teams has to support this local charity when in town.
Please vote for team “LockedOn” as they are LockedOn to this event to find not only their assigned missing child, Sarah Hoggle, but all of American’s missing children! Your votes will move them to the top of the Fireball Run website which will also get them extra points. (Check out their logo above created by Dave’s daughter, Kelly!)
