Five Maryland Schools Make Kiplinger List

Five Maryland universities have made a list of the 100 best values in public higher education. The University of Maryland at College Park is number eight, according to the February issue of “Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.” Saint Mary’s College of Maryland was 37th, Salisbury University was 59th, the University of Maryland-Baltimore was 93rd and Towson University was 97th. Academic and economic factors were used in compiling the list. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was number one overall nationally.
