We couldn’t have done it without you – the buyers, the donors, the volunteer workers, the library staff, and the super news coverage in the Shore Update! The Friends of Queen Anne’s County Library would like to thank every single person who supported the inaugural Porch Book Sale on August 23, 2014 at the Centreville and Kent Island libraries. It was a great success!

All money raised or donated to the Friends will support the Queen Anne’s County Library. We have supported the Summer Reading Program, and will give money to purchase items and provide programs not covered by the library’s normal budget. The end result is better programs and services offered to the public at no charge to library users.

The Friends is in the final stages of implementing an on-going book sale in the lobby of each library. We will sell used, donated items at reasonable prices during normal library hours. We accept and sell donations of used books, DVDs, CDs, magazines, etc. Our next book sale is scheduled for December and Friends members at the Contributor level will receive a discount at that book sale.

Thanks so much for helping the Friends in its inaugural book sale! With your help we raised over $1,200!
