Friends Of Queen Anne’s County PAC Recommends Candidates

Friends of Queen Anne’s County PAC has been actively researching and identifying the candidates for County Commissioner who truly understand the serious social and economic challenges that Queen Anne’s County is facing and are ready to tackle the problems left by the previous Commissioners.  Questionnaires have been sent to all candidates, and, after a careful study of the responses,  Friends of QAC PAC has selected candidates who most closely share its concerns – i.e., that the County is facing a combination of sharply reduced services and higher property taxes unless it finds a middle ground of balanced growth and fiscal responsibility.  These are the candidates Friends of QAC PAC believes will work hardest to achieve that goal.

At Large:  STEVE ARENTZ, R
District 1:  ROBERT MANSFIELD – R; HOWARD DEAN – D
District 2:  DICK SMITH – R; PAUL GUNTHER – D
District 3:  PHIL DUMENIL – R
District 4:  DAVE OLDS – R

The Primary election will be especially critical this year.  Primary elections often have light voter turnouts.  Don’t let that happen on September 14th. Every vote is necessary to ensure that capable candidates in all 5 Commissioner races survive the primary election, so that voters will still have reasonable choices on the ballot for the General Election, November 2nd. Voters are urged to learn about the perspectives and goals of each candidate, and be aware that they can vote for candidates in all 5 positions, not just in their own district.

Concerned citizens who share the goals of Friends of QAC PAC can learn more about the recommended candidates, as well as how to make a contribution to the campaign to educate voters, on Facebook – at “Friends of Queen Anne’s County PAC”.
