Golf Tournament Supports Youth Programs in Talbot County

The Talbot Optimist Club proudly announces their 2014 charity golf Tournament on May 9 with a 1 pm Shotgun Start. Voted one of Talbot County’s best golf tournaments, the Optimist’s Golf Tournament is back and promises a day of fun while raising money for Talbot County youth organizations.

Golfers will enjoy snacks and beverages on the Harbourtowne Golf Resort course in St. Michaels, dinner, prizes, tournament shirt, goodie bag, cart and greens fees. Dinner guests welcome! Prizes include closest to the pin, long drive and a hole-in-one-contest.

Organizations that have been supported by the Talbot Optimist Club’s annual charitable donations include the Talbot YMCA, Easton Little League, Talbot Partnership, local scouts, St. Michaels Community Center, Talbot Mentors, Pop Warner, Talbot Braves, Pickering Creek Audubon Center, Talbot County Teen Court, several After Grad and Post Prom events, and more. Now in it’s 18th year, the Talbot optimist Club has donated more than $240,000 supporting local youth organizations.
