Gourmet Brunch To Support Talbot Mentors, May 4

Talbot Mentors hosts its annual Spring Brunch on Sunday, May 4, at Talbot Country Club, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The fundraiser’s guests enjoy a gourmet buffet while supporting the organization’s program of matching adult volunteers with students who can benefit from mentoring.

The brunch is being held this year in memory of Board Member Barbara Noyes, who passed away in February. Joan Dent will provide piano accompaniment for the event.

Wells Fargo Advisors are sponsoring the brunch, with additional individual sponsorships from friends of Talbot Mentors.

Donors support the brunch by providing a wide array of items for its silent auction, including unique artwork and jewelry, gift baskets, wine and gift certificates. Guests may mingle and make their bids while sipping coffee and juice or refreshments from the bar, before sitting down to omelets made to order and other brunch fare.

A blind wine bottle pick and balloon raffle offer additional opportunities for guests to support the organization while taking home surprise gifts.

Talbot Mentors Program Coordinator Jessika Best offered special thanks to Brunch Committee Chair Marykay Powell and committee members John Franke, Martha Horner, Margot Miller, Jim Reed and Al Smith for their efforts in securing silent auction items and donations.

Tickets are $75 each, available by calling the Talbot Mentors office at 410-770-5999. The deadline for reservations is April 25.

For more information, to make a contribution, or to volunteer as a mentor, call Talbot Mentors at 410-770-5999 or visit www.talbotmentors.org.
