The Queen Anne’s County Arts Council’s fundraising exhibition and raffle, “Small Works” is a popular and fascinating look at artwork on a small scale. Relying upon donations from artists around the country, the exhibition has gained popularity among ticket buyers and participating artists. Porcelain, clay, oils, watercolors, jewelry, textiles, mixed media, and photography are showcased at the Arts Council’s Centre for the Arts through February 23, 2013. Art lovers can purchase raffle tickets and then choose their favorite work of art, or favorites, and put their raffle tickets in the box designated for each piece of work.
The winning tickets will be drawn during a Grand Drawing Reception on Saturday, February 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket or 7 tickets for $30 and remain on sale through the closing of the exhibition. All attending winners may take their new “Small Work” home. A cash bar and delicious appetizers from Palate Pleasers in Annapolis will be provided. The event is free, but RSVP will be required before February 20 as space will be limited. The event is sponsored by Palette Pleasers and Freestate and Son.
Proceeds from all activities benefit the Arts Council and tickets may be purchased at the Centre, 206 S. Commerce St., Centreville, MD or by calling 410.758.2520.
