The Queen Anne’s County Arts Council will hold a grant workshop for the upcoming Artists in Education (AiE) and Community Arts Development (CAD) application process. Each year the Arts Council allocates up to twenty percent of its overall budget to schools and organizations to provide arts programming. Attending the workshop is mandatory for AiE applicants. The session will be held on Tuesday, April 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the Centre for the Arts, 206 S. Commerce Street in Centreville.
Eligible programming includes dance, music, performance literary programs presented in the schools and performance and operational expenses to arts organizations. This is the Arts Council’s twenty-eighth year of making grant awards to the community, supporting cultural activities in the county with more than $593,000 to date.
