Grasonville Senior Center announces its Technology and Computer classes offered in April 2015. Topics include iPad & iPhone Basics, Android Tablets & Android Phone Basics, Publisher Basics, and Shutterfly Books. Registration fee is $15 for each 4 week workshop.

Tuesdays April 14, 21, 28 & May 5 / 10:30am – 12:00pm / Fee $15iPad & iPhone Basics: This class is for seniors who own an iPad or an iPhone and wish to learn how to properly operate it.  You will learn the basics of how to navigate your device, make voice commands with Siri, make 3-way calls and use other phone related commands, customize your display screens, and access and download programs designed to enrich your life.  For this class, we will access the App Store on your device, so you MUST have an established iTunes Account.  This requires a valid email username and password set up prior to the first day of class.

Android Tablets & Android Phones Basics: This class is for seniors who own an Android Tablet or an Android Phone and wish to learn how to properly operate it.  You will learn the basics of how to navigate your device, make voice commands with Google Now, make 3-way calls and use other phone related commands, customize your display screens, and access and download programs designed to enrich your life. For this class, we will access the Play Store on your device, so you MUST have an established Google Play Account.  This requires a valid username and password set up prior to the first day of class. Publisher Basics:  Have you ever wanted to create professional-looking publications?  In this class, you’ll learn the basics of how to utilize the layouts and templates in Publisher to create brochures, newsletters, invitations, business cards, and more. Wednesdays April 15, 22, 29 & May 6 / 10:30am – 12:00pm / Fee $15

Shutterfly:  Do you have photos from a special event and would like to present them in a fun and creative way?  With Shutterfly, you can do just that by organizing your pictures in a designer photo book that you create, so all of your family and friends can relive the event time and time again. For this class, you MUST sign up for a free Shutterfly account at www.shutterfly.com prior to the first day of class.  Remember, you will have to purchase the book you create if you wish to have them produced and manufactured by Shutterfly.

Wednesdays April 15, 22, 29 & May 6 / 12:30pm – 2:00pm / Fee $15

New participants are welcome and encouraged to try any of these great workshops. Participants must be age 60 or better. Advance Registration is suggested as seats are limited.
