Group of the month- Kent Island Cruisers

Kent Island Cruisers is the perfect group for local car enthusiasts. It was established in 1994, and the organization has supported local non-profits with thousands of dollars of donations. As their web site states… “Having fun, fellowship and giving back to the community is all part of the Kent Island Cruisers.”

The Kent Island Cruisers Facebook notes that the organization… “ is a club for the preservation, use and enjoyment of antique, classic, hot rod, muscle and special interest vehicles by Kent Island area residents.” With over 100 members, the Cruisers’ meetings bring together car lovers and their cool and unique cars. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month Cult Classic at 6:30pm. From April to October, they meet at Rita’s in Stevensville on Tuesday nights to showcase their cars as well as to enjoy some delicious Rita’s Italian Ice and Frozen Custard.

The group has three big meetings that are open to the public every year. Some of their upcoming events include:

June 17 – The 4H Park Show at the 4H Park in Centreville from 10am-1pm.
June 18 – Father’s Day Cruise In at Cult Classic from 9am-1pm. All are welcome to stop by and have some fun. Door prizes and trophies will be given for the best participants showcasing their “hobby” cars. Bring dad and help him celebrate his special day while enjoying unique cars, good music and Father’s Day food and drink specials.
July 1 – Cars and Coffee at the Dunkin’ in Centreville. Enjoy a great morning of cars along with your favorite brew and donut.
