On Saturday, September 21st, Gunston’s Environmental Club joined local and state organizations at historic Bloomfield Farm in Centreville for the Corsica River Watershed Awareness Day. Environmental Club students prepared and shared presentations on Gunston’s green efforts including new solar panels, recycling, and the Great American Can Round-Up. Five students from the Club helped visitors create recycled jewelry from soda can tabs, answered questions for the events “Passport to Restoration” challenge, and educated visitors about Gunston.
