Senator Andy Harris, R-Baltimore County, was scheduled to visit 12 cities last week in his attempt to unseat Democratic Congressman Frank Kratovil. Harris began his bus tour of Maryland’s First District with a visit to a community center in Berlin. Harris had seven other stops planned, including visits to Salisbury, Easton and Chestertown. The First District includes the Eastern Shore, plus parts of Anne Arundel, Harford and Baltimore counties. Kratovil, a freshman representative, narrowly defeated Harris in 2008. Harris outraised Kratovil by about $76,000 during the first quarter of 2010, but Kratovil had roughly $300,000 more overall, according to recent finance reports.
